Amazon To Sell Xbox for $100?

Sunday, November 12th, 2006

Web2.0 blog TechCrunch via digg is speculating that the price of an Xbox could drop to $100. Michael Arrington writes “If you are thinking of buying an Xbox in the next few days, don’t. We’ve gotten information that Amazon may be putting the $300 Xbox bundle on sale for $100 in the next week or so as a promotional move for the holiday season.”

Well Michael, with Amazing Refund and Amazon.com’s 30 day price drop refund policy, there is no need to wait. You can purchase the Xbox 360 Core System now, get the refund when the price drops.

Sister site Crunchgear also has the story.

Update (11/16): The mystery of the $100 Xbox 360s at Amazon.com has been revealed. The e-tailer is doing a promotion called Amazon Customers Vote. Every week for the next four weeks it’ll be giving customers a chance to vote for one of four special deals. What’s being offered in the first week? Yep, a 360 core system for $100. Amazon’s XBox 360 page says: You must wait until Thursday and buy via the Amazon Customers Vote Page in order to receive the discount. Thanks Tweaq and CrunchGear for the details.
